The Advanced Math & Science Academy in Marlborough purchased its campus at 199 and 201 Forest St., which it had been leasing, for $12.8 million in late October, according to the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds.
In a press release on Oct. 22, the school said it will begin developing a plan for capital improvements to begin in the summer. The deal, which closed Oct. 21, included all three buildings of the 9.7-acre campus.
AMSA has leased from a firm registered to the address of RMA Management LLC, a Marlborough real estate company. RMA’s president, David Depietri, bought the property in 1996 for $1.7 million, according to the City of Marlborough’s property database. The City of Marlborough assesses the property at $9.1 million.
The school opened in 2005 and offers education from grades six to 12. It is a charter school and admits students based on a space-availability lottery, according to its website.
