Marlborough spacecraft component company sold to Florida firm

Marlborough’s Adcole Maryland Aerospace has been sold for an undisclosed price to a private equity firm whose portfolio includes aerospace.

AE Industrial Partners of Florida announced on Monday the purchase of AMA from Adcole Corp., a portfolio company of Artemis Capital Partners of Boston. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

AMA, which is based in Marlborough and was established in 1957, has provided components to spacecraft and satellites. The company's core capabilities include the design and manufacture of optical sensors for satellites providing guidance, navigation, situational awareness, and control capabilities.

Key products include sun sensors, star trackers, and star cameras.
