Massachusetts home sales were up by 6.2 percent in October when compared to a year earlier, helping lead New England to a net gain of nearly 4 percent in home sales over the previous year’s Halloween month.
Massachusetts saw the median price of home sales increase by 4 percent, according to The RE/MAX INTEGRA, New England October Monthly Housing Report. Pending sales were up 11.6 percent year-over-year for the month.
While this placed Massachusetts ahead of the other New England states, New Hampshire home sales eclipsed Massachusetts with 8.8 percent year-over-year growth while Rhode Island saw an increase of 28.3 percent in pending home sales.
New England’s year-over-year sales for October were up 3.8 percent with pending home sales up 12.3 percent.
