MassHire Central Region Workforce Board has signed a 10-year lease on a new 6,500-square-foot space in the Southbridge Innovation Center, according to a Monday press release by Southbridge Associates, which owns and operates the 1.2-million-square-foot business park.
Later in the fall, MassHire will move its office to 14 Mechanic St. The new space is approximately 1,000 square feet larger than its existing 10 Optical Drive office, said MassHire Operations Manager Deb Baillargeon.
In Worcester County, MassHire operates career centers in Southbridge, Worcester, and Leominster. The Worcester and Southbridge location fall under the the organization’s central region.
“MassHire has been a tenant in the center for 15 years, and they are relocating to a larger and higher quality space," said Chip Norton, managing director of Southbridge Associates and Franklin Realty Advisors LLC.
