The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is expanding its footprint in Worcester, as the Boston-headquartered private university has purchased a trio of adjacent Lincoln Street properties for a combined $11.68 million.
The three properties, 26-34 Old Lincoln St., 31 New Lincoln St., and 33 New Lincoln St., were sold in deals finalized on Wednesday, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records.
MCPHS did not respond to a request for comment from WBJ asking for more details regarding its plans for the parcels. All three properties are within walking distance of the college’s Worcester campus.
The property located at 26-34 Old Lincoln St. contains two apartment buildings and was sold for $6.75 million by a trust operated by Micozzi Management in Allston. Constructed in 1888, the buildings have a combined occupancy of 25 residents, according to City of Worcester property records. The parcel was given a tax assessment value of $2.45 million for 2024.
The property located at 31 New Lincoln St. contains a 1,592-square-foot retail store and was sold for $1.25 million by Covino Realty of Worcester. The former site of True North Personal Training, 31 New Lincoln St. is now home to a Golden Pizza location. The parcel was given a tax assessment value of $206,100 for 2024.
The property located at 33 New Lincoln St. contains a 4,080-square-foot commercial building, home of Meltzer Eye Care Center. Owner Toni Meltzer sold the property for $3.68 million. The parcel was given a tax assessment value of $446,200 for 2024.
Founded in 1823, MCPHS is the second-oldest college of pharmacy in the United States. The college opened its Worcester campus in 2000.
