The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles in Milford will soon open its relocated, full-service center on June 23, fewer than two miles down the street from its former site.
The RMV’s 9,176-square-foot site will be located at 138 South Main St. and feature 17 customer service counters and a business-to-business area for commercial customers, according to a Wednesday press release from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and RMV.
“As we continue working to enhance the customers’ experience at our service centers, the Milford relocation is one of three scheduled relocations planned for this year,” Registrar of Motor Vehicles Colleen Ogilvie said in the release.
All scheduled road tests for June 23 will now take place at the RMV’s new center.
Customers at the Milford location can access a number of services without an appointment including: vehicle registration, registration and title transfers, registration reinstatement, registration amendment, and applications for replacement Massachusetts-assigned vehicle identification numbers, according to Mass.gov.
Customers who are seeking to complete an in-person permit, license, or ID transaction must make an appointment online prior to their visit.
The center will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
