Movers & Shakers for June 7, 2021

Worcester Credit Union has promoted four: ARILEYDA GONZALEZ as the risk/quality control supervisor, VANESSA DiPILATO as relationship services supervisor, KACHAUNDRA STEVENS as loan servicing and collections representative, and MARSHALL McDONALD as electronic services and operations supervisor. Gonzalez joined the team as an intern in the Worcester branch, after graduating from high school she took a full-time position as Bank Secrecy Act specialist in the operations department. Dipilato joined the team as a full-time teller in 2019 and was formerly with Citizens Bank as universal banker. Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from Worcester State University. She was a commercial loan administrator for Millbury Savings Bank for four years. McDonald has an associate’s degree in business administration with 10 years experience, which includes both retail and operational responsibilities. 

Roldan

ERIC ROLDAN has been appointed as the director of outpatient services at Worcester nonprofit Open Sky Community Services. Roldan graduated from Springfield College in 2012 with a master’s degree in social work. He is fluent in Spanish and English. He most recently served as a clinical program director for Spectrum Health Service in Worcester. Roldan’s responsibilities in his new role include oversight of The Bridge Counseling Center. 

MACLEOD

NANCY MacLEOD, vice president at Charles River Bank, has been promoted to lead its Mendon operations as branch officer. Macleod joined the bank as a part-time teller in the Medway office and was chosen to run the Medway High School branch in 2006. She was then promoted in 2009 to assistant branch manager. Macleod has a branch management certification through the Massachusetts Bankers Association. Her new role will consist of supervisory and administrative responsibility for sales, service, operations, and security of the retail banking office. 

KILGALLEN

TARA KILGALLEN joined ERA Key as Realtor in the Framingham office. Killagen graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge and completed her real estate training at Freedom Trail Realty School in Cambridge. With a 20 years experience as a yoga instructor, she served as co-director of yoga at Lumina Mind Body Studios - Longfellow Health Clubs in Wayland and Natick.

KLARA CARTER has been hired as the new assistant vice president, commercial lender at Cornerstone Bank of Southbridge. Carter has more than 20 years experience in the banking industry and has specialised in helping small businesses with finance. She is a resident of Danielson, Conn. Carter graduated from Nichols College in Dudley with a degree in business administration and management, focusing on general administration and finance. 

TROY

MADISON TROY has joined ERA Key as Realtor in the Whitsville office. Troy earned a bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from the executive development center at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. She was a brand ambassador for CK Promotions in Marlborough, a bartender at Feng Asian Bistro in Millbury, a substitute teacher in Sutton Public Schools and a human resources assistant at Commerce Bank in Worcester. 

MULLIN

Elevate Counseling Services of Franklin has announced JULIA MULLIN will be joining its telehealth division. Mullin earned both her graduate degree, a master’s degree in social work, and her undergraduate, psychology and early childhood education, from Simmons University in Boston. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. 

SBREGA

Four board members of GFA Federal Credit Union in Gardner have been reelected to serve additional terms: ELAINE FLUET, president and CEO of GVNA Healthcare Inc., MICHAEL HORRIGAN, partner at Horrigan Cleaners, JOANNE PARKS, operating manager at M.H. Parks Co. Inc., and TINA SBREGA, retired president and CEO of GFA Credit Union. They have all been reelected to serve a three-year term.

Clinton Savings Bank has announced the appointment of two new board members: JONATHAN GULLIVER, the state highway administrator for Massachusetts Department of Transportation, and JOHN KITTREDGE, the treasurer/collector for the Town of Clinton. Gulliver has two decades of experience in managing complex state and municipal projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Kittredge has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fitchburg State University. He owns and operates Kittredge Tax and Accounting in Lancaster. 

BELAIR

HEATHER L. BELAIR has received a mortgage star award from Mortgage Women magazine. Belair is vice president and executive liaison in branch and lending operations at Bay State Savings Bank in Worcester. She joined Bay State’s Auburn High School branch as a part-time student teller in 2003. After graduating, she became a full-time teller and has since earned five promotions. 

MORENO

Rollstone Bank & Trust in Fitchburg promoted OSCAR MORENO to first vice president and commercial loan officer, and KEVIN DONOVAN to branch manager, both working for the Groton branch. Moreno had previously been senior vice president and director of cash management & business development at Northern Bank & Trust in Woburn. Donovan held the same titles at the Santander Bank in Framingham, where he assisted customers with banking needs in checking, savings, and other financial products. 

YARNIE

Community Healthlink, a UMass Memorial Health Care behavioral and substance abuse agency in Worcester, hired SHELLY YARNIE as vice president of its access division. Prior to this position, Shelly spent eight years at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, most recently as director of local public health initiatives where she provided statewide leadership and direction to boards of health applying for accreditation, developing opioid initiatives, and improving health equity. Her other roles included being assigned as regional manager in Central Massachusetts, where she oversaw leadership and advocacy to community organizations focused on improving social determinants of health and reducing health disparities. Yarnie is a native to Worcester and graduated from UMass Amherst’s School of Public Health and Health

The North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce hired DESIREE MORENO as business development manager. She will be responsible for leading the chamber’s member recruitment and retention efforts. She had previously worked for Monster.com as a business development representative, and within her family’s local business. She has obtained her bachelor's degree in business management from Salem State University. 

MOYNIHAN

JEFFREY MOYNIHAN has been hired by Cornerstone Bank in Southbridge as vice president and mortgage loan officer. The resident of Norton has more than 14 years of banking and mortgage experience and will lead the team responsible for helping customers finance their homes.

ROBERT YOUNG II has been named to Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s inaugural list of top 20 Massachusetts Go To Lawyers for Employment Law. Young earned his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. He was named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in the Employment and Labor category in 2017, and was a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2012-2016. Young has helped employers with discrimination and retaliation, non-competition, trade secrets, wage-and-hour and other complex employment-related issues.

CATRINA GARDNER has been promoted to communications manager at Vision Advertising in Northborough. She joined the company in 2019 as a social media specialist. Gardner’s new role will include presenting several free marketing and small business webinars with Vision Advertising throughout the year.

BRIAN ALLEN is the the highest producing multifamily real estate agent in Worcester County by volume and gross sales in quarter one 2021, according to the MLS Property Information Network, Inc. in Framingham. Allen graduated from the College of Holy Cross and holds an master’s degree in secondary education from Worcester State University. He sold more than $3.5 million in multifamily real estate across eight transactions. Allen’s industry experience includes property owner representation in telecom leasing, zoning, and permitting. He joined Rubric Capital, a Worcester commercial real estate brokerage, in January. 

KILEY

KRISTA KILEY has joined ERA Key as a Realtor in the Worcester office. Kiley previously worked in human services and in the restaurant industry. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Albion College in Michigan. She is a volunteer in Grafton schools, at the Grafton Senior Center and the Grafton Food Bank.

REBECCA CARANCI has been promoted as vice president for member resource service at GFA Federal Credit Union. Caranci first began her tenure as branch manager of GFA’s Ashburnham location, and she played a critical role in GFA’s acquisition of Cheshire County Federal Credit Union. She previously was the assistant vice president and branch manager at the GFA’s Pearson Blvd. branch in Gardner.

Bay State Saving Bank has hired DANIEL J. KELSER as senior vice president and commercial loan officer. Kelser holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Nichols College in Dudley and volunteers with The Arc of Opportunity in Fitchburg, where he serves on its board of as treasurer. Previously, Kesler worked as a commercial lender at Clinton Saving bank as well as Rollstone Bank and Trust in Fitchburg.
