MEREDITH HARRIS, the executive director of the Marlborough Economic Development Corp., has been named to the board of the Mass. Alliance for Economic Development, known as MassEcon. She is joined on the board by several members from Central Mass. institutions: PAUL BAUER, a partner at the Worcester law firm Bowditch & Dewey, and BONNIE SULLIVAN, a vice president at Middlesex Savings Bank of Natick, who is the board treasurer.
XUAN CHAU and MICHAEL SWANEY of the Family Health Center of Worcester have been named to statewide health committees. Chau, a social services program manager at the center where she has worked for 10 years in HIV/AIDS services, was selected to the Department of Public Health’s Mass. Integrated Prevention and Care Committee and the Behavioral Health Advisory Group. Swaney, a clinical care manager and quality nurse data manager, was appointed to the Gay Men’s Advisory Group and the Mass. Integrated Prevention and Care Committee.
PATTY ZILLIAN EPPINGER has been appointed to the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education. She is a chair and founding trustee of the Worcester Education Collaborative, and co-founder of Worcester Reads, a consortium of reading-focused organizations. She is the executive producer of a scripted teen drama TV series about the struggles of addiction. From 2017 to 2018, she served as interim president of the EcoTarium in Worcester. Eppinger has worked as a manager of research and information for McKinsey & Co. in Boston, and a financial institutions consultant for McKinsey in Atlanta.
CURTIS
Dr. MEGAN CURTIS has joined Reliant Medical Group’s family practice department and is seeing patients at the 5 Neponset St. office in Worcester. She received her medical degree from UMass Medical School and her residency at Swedish Family Medicine Residency - First Hill in Seattle.
Central One Federal Credit Union has promoted two members of its Northborough branch. HEATHER FORCHILLI has been promoted from assistant branch manager to branch manager. She has worked for Central One since 2015. JUDY MISENER, a lifelong resident of Northborough, has been promoted to assistant branch manager and has worked for the credit union since the Northborough branch opened in 2005.
TRAIGER
LAURA SILVER TRAIGER has been named as a director for the Mass. Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Traiger is one of eight on the board. Traiger, who works at the law firm Starr Vander Linden of Worcester and Fitchburg, received her law degree from Suffolk University Law School. The Massachusetts chapter also awarded REBECCA BENSON, a senior counsel with the Special Needs Law Group of Massachusetts in Framingham, with its John J. Ford Litigation Advocacy Award, which honors a member’s efforts to educate the chapter membership relative to litigation strategies.
