Discovery Museum in Acton has appointed HERBERT MASON and WILLIAM HUSS to its board of directors. Before joining its board, Mason previously served on Discovery Museum’s People Task Force, supporting staff and leadership. He currently works as vice president, talent development & training manager at Reading Cooperative Bank. Mason earned two bachelor’s degrees from University of Phoenix. Since 2004, Huss has served as a business analytics faculty member at Babson College in Wellesley. He earned his Ph.D. and two master’s degrees from The Ohio State University and his bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.

ARNE GERICKE

ARNE GERICKE has shed his ad interim title, now assuming the permanent role of dean of undergraduate studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Having served in his ad interim dean capacities since July 1, 2022, Gericke works to promote the quality and effectiveness of WPI’s undergraduate programs and student academic experiences including through its courses, projects, academic advising, and undergraduate research. He earned his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from the University of Hamburg in Germany.

SHEILA KING-GOODWIN

SHEILA KING-GOODWIN, head of the Northeast market for Digital Federal Credit Union, has received a Northeast Women In Banking & Mortgage award from the Connecticut-based American Business Media for her banking leadership. Outside of work, King-Goodwin serves on Fitchburg State University board of trustees, the Massachusetts Bankers Association’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion council, the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts and its Racial Equity Funds, and the United Way of Central Massachusetts’ Women's Initiative. She holds her master’s degree from Assumption University in Worcester and her bachelor’s degree from University of South Carolina.
