Movers & Shakers for Nov. 13, 2023

UMass Memorial Medical Group has added four new doctors to its practices. Dr. AYESHA ANWAR, an internist, will be based at East Marlborough Primary Care. Anwar graduated from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan. Dr. RAJ GALA will be a spinal surgeon at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. Dr. SINDHA MADHAV, a graduate of Kasturba Medical College in India, will be a pathologist at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Biotech III, in Worcester. Dr. SHAUN TOOMEY, a pulmonologist who earned his medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, will be based at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University and Memorial campuses.

 

Dr. ELIEZER STERNBERG

Milford Regional Medical Center has appointed Dr. ELIEZER STERNBERG to chair of the department of medicine. Sternberg was previously chief of neurology at the hospital, which he joined in 2020. He is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.

 

Amanda McNamara

Mirick O’Connell in Worcester has added four new attorneys to its team. PETER HAMILTON II and AMANDA McNAMARA have joined the firm’s litigation team. Hamilton, a graduate of New England Law, concentrates his practice in commercial and construction litigation, while McNamara works in complex commercial, construction, real estate, environmental, and business disputes. She earned her degree from Suffolk University School of Law. BRIAN LAMKIN has joined the firm’s labor and employment group. He received his bachelor’s degree from Yale University in New Haven and his law degree from Emory University School of Law. CHRISTINE BOUTIN has joined as a member of the trusts and estates team. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a law degree from New England Law.
