Oxford-based bankHometown has named ANGELA GORKY as assistant branch manager at its Oxford location. Gorky most recently served as assistant branch manager at the bank’s Sturbridge site after originally coming to bankHometown in 2017 as a teller supervisor. She graduated with her associate degree in criminal justice from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.
ERIC LIBBY has joined Consigli Construction as the Milford-based firm’s director, project executive. In his new role, Libby will spearhead the company’s regional healthcare projects while supporting Consigli’s growth and development. Coming to the firm with more than 25 years of construction management experience, Libby has worked with clients including Boston Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, all in Boston.
Cornerstone Bank in Worcester has promoted employee ELIZABETH DUNN to vice president of benefits from her most recent role as assistant vice president, HR business partner. In her new capacities, Dunn will create, implement, and oversee the bank’s benefits programs in addition to advising on Cornerstone’s strategic planning and vendor relationships. Dunn is a graduate of Nichols College in Dudley.
The board of trustees at Nichols College in Dudley has elected a new chair and vice chair along with two new trustees. Nichols 1986 alumnus DAVID BEDARD has been named as the board’s chair. Bedard joined the board in 2011 and has served on its executive and finance committees and as chair of the audit committee. Before retiring, Bedard had most recently worked at New York Life Insurance Co., headquartered in New York City, as senior vice president and head of its finance services organization. JAIME PARIS BOISVERT, a 1998 alumna, has been elected vice chair. She joined the board in 2021 and has since served on its executive and finance committees and as chair of the academic and faculty affairs committee. Paris Boisvert works as executive director for global development for the sustainable infrastructure division of Johnson Controls, a global sustainable building technology firm with a U.S. headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. EDMOND “E.J.” LANDRY and TAYLOR CORNELL have been selected as the board’s new trustees. Landry, a 1986 alumnus, has previously served a three-year term as co-chair of Nichols’ Board of Advisors and is a retired partner at professional services provider Deloitte. Cornell graduated from Nichols in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in general business and minors in psychology and criminal justice. She works as a financial aid officer at Keiser University in Florida.
DENNIS STAIRES from Framingham has been hired by Berkshire Bank as vice president, assistant manager at the Boston-based bank’s flagship center. Stairs joins Berkshire Bank having most recently worked as private banking assistant office manager at First Citizens Bank in Wellesley. Previously, Stairs served in a number of managerial roles at financial institutions including Marlborough-based Main Street Bank and at TD Bank in Sudbury.
MARY ELBARNASHAWY has been promoted to branch manager of Clinton Savings Bank’s Berlin branch. In her new capacities, Elbarnashawy will supervise the location’s daily operations while working to bolster community relations and create new local business opportunities. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business and is studying for her master’s degree.
Discovery Museum in Acton has named COURTNEY HANNA RENKES to its board of directors. Hanna Renkes is a former civil litigator who worked at companies including Maryland-headquartered Greenberg & Bederman and National Network to End Domestic Violence in Washington, D.C. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and psychology from Boston College, studied international human rights law at the University of Oxford in England, and graduated with her law degree from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.
