The Worcester Redevelopment Authority on Thursday signed a lease with the former owner of a country music-themed restaurant and bar to occupy the first-floor space in Union Station.

The city’s redevelopment agency and landlords of the transportation hub signed off on the lease with Limitless Recreation & Hospitality LLC, a business entity registered to William Broullon, the former owner of the Country Music Ranch & Saloon on James Street in Worcester.

The space is on the first floor space off of the great hall previously occupied by Byblos Lounge and other establishments in the past. It has been vacant since 2017.

Chief Development Officer Michael Traynor said at the meeting the lease is for 10 years with two five-year options at a starting rate of $13.90 per square foot.

When reached via phone Thursday, Broullon said he hopes to open the restaurant sometime in the winter. The establishment, currently unnamed, will offer breakfast, brunch and lunch and other options for the evening hours.

Aside from Broullon, other possible tenants include Greater Good Imperial Brewing Co.’s Soul Purpose brand and an arcade bar, but the city and possible tenants have not publicly agreed to leases.

The WRA also approved a contract with a design firm for the build out of that retail space, but members didn't name the two potential tenants.
