In an effort to combat rising prescription drug costs, Oxford-based pharmaceutical company EverPharm has partnered with a division of the Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Co., headquartered in Dallas, to offer healthcare providers with affordable access to mediations.

The joint venture will see EverPharm’s specialty pharmaceutical products integrated into Cost Plus Marketplace, which focuses on providing fair-market, transparent pricing for prescription medications.

EverPharm’s unit dose medications will be the first to enter Cost Plus Marketplace portfolio in a multi-phase rollout, offering the company’s individually packaged dosed medications to pharmacies and healthcare providers throughout the country, according to an April 1 press release from EverPharm.

EverPharm’s until dose model aims to save healthcare businesses both time and resources while diminishing medication waste and enhancing drug administration efficacy.

More medication options will be available within the coming weeks.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Cost Plus Marketplace to provide healthcare providers with lower-cost medication options,” Hans Meireles, EverPharm general manager, said in the release. “This partnership represents a significant step toward addressing the rising costs of prescription drugs and ensuring that providers receive the medications they need at fair and transparent prices.”

Co-founded in 2022 by billionaire American businessman and entrepreneur Mark Cuban, Cost Plus Drugs is a public-benefit corporation offering reduced-priced medications with transparent pricing available online. Account holders contact their providers using Cost Plus Drugs instructions to receive prescriptions at prices up to thousands of dollars cheaper than retail prices, according to the company’s website.

“This partnership with EverPharm is consistent with our mission to address the clinical needs of our customers at fair and transparent price points,” Alan Bowe, chief commercial officer at Cost Plus Drugs, said in the release. “This will help providers reduce cost, waste and improve operational efficiency as they care for their patients.”
