A BOOST TO YOUTH ATHLETICS

Blissful Meadows Golf Club in Uxbridge donated $18,000 to area youth programs, raised from its annual golf outing. SMALL HOUSE, BIG SENTIMENT

Employees of Worcester-based Unum teamed up with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Worcester for Project Playhouse. A team built a playhouse, complete with a solar-powered interior light, for the children of area veteran Jason Allen. PARTNERS AGAINST POLIO

Fitchburg-based Workers' Credit Union donated $500 for the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley's Project Pinkie, which raises funds for polio vaccinations.   • Employees of Milford Regional Medical Center have surpassed their $1-million fundraising goal in support of a $54-million building project that will expand the center's emergency department, intensive-care unit and private patient rooms.
  • Oakham-based Pine Acres Resort raised $1,000 with a Halloween "Trailer of Terror" event at the campground for the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge in Worcester, in memory of Donald Loranger.
  • Southbridge Savings Bank donated $1,000 to the Holden 5K Road Race, with event proceeds to benefit Wachusett Food Pantry, Josephs Project Inc., Hearts for Heat and Be Like Brit.
