East Hartford-based Pratt & Whitney has won a contract to provide engines for three new Airbus aircrafts for Air Caraibes.
In the deal, Pratt, a division of the United Technologies Corp., will provide engines and a 10-year service program valued at more than $180 million.
“We are proud that Air Caraibes has again selected the PW4000 to power their new aircraft,” said Todd Kallman, president of Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines. “With the additional thrust, environmental benefits and fuel efficiency offered by the Advantage70 technology upgrade, the PW4000 is the engine of choice for the A330.”Â
