Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics, Inc. is seeking to build a new 35,000 square-foot warehouse, building on its existing campus at 12 New Bond St. in Worcester.
In addition, Saint-Gobain will construct two new surface lots to approximately maintain the current level of parking, and will install 3,600 square feet of temporary office space.
According to plans, offices will be moved into the temporary space from the Main Building to make way for a new kiln room. The kiln room and warehouse functions will move out of a nearby industrial building into the new structures.
Engineering firm BSC Group, which has an office in Worcester, submitted plans to the Worcester Planning Board on behalf of Saint-Gobain in September. The matter will go before the Planning Board at its November 1 meeting.
Saint-Gobain is the largest manufacturer in Worcester and the seventh-largest in Central Massachusetts, ranked by local employees, according to the WBJ Research Department.
