SALMON Health and Retirement has selected Alessandro Vianello as the Milford senior care provider’s new CFO.

In his new capacities, Vianello will manage SALMON’s financial strategy and performance, including capital planning, operational budgeting, and acquisitions, according to a Tuesday press release from the provider.

Leveraging more than two decades of experience in strategic finance, investment analysis, and healthcare operations, Vianello will work to broaden access to SALMON’s care offerings such as the system’s independent and assisted living facilities and home health services.

“At SALMON, we are thrilled to welcome Alessandro to our leadership team,” SALMON CEO Matt Salmon said in the release. “His multifaceted experience, particularly in senior living and public health finance, brings a valuable perspective as we strengthen our organization for the future. Alessandro will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations and advancing our family’s strategy of thoughtful, mission-aligned growth.”

Vianello replaces SALMON’s previous CFO Sean Dunn, who will stay on with the organization to manage its accounting functions, Kathleen Lewis, SALMON director of marketing, told WBJ.

Vianello most recently served as CFO of Lasell Village, a Newton-based senior living provider sponsored by Lasell University. Previously, he has worked in financial roles at CVS Health, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, now known as the Executive Office of Aging & Independence, and Boston-based financial services firms Ironwood Investment Management and Evergreen Investments.

He graduated from Università Ca' Foscari Venezia in Italy with a degree in economics and business and earned his master’s degree in finance from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University in Waltham.

“I am honored to join SALMON Health and Retirement, an organization defined by its values, vision, and deep commitment to those it serves,” Vianello said in the release. “I look forward to contributing  to SALMON’s continued legacy of excellence and expanding access to high-quality care across our communities.”
