The Massachusetts Growth Capital Corp., a Boston-based quasi-public corporation, awarded $759,687 to Central Massachusetts chambers of commerce, development corporations, and micro-lenders.

The grants, provided through the state’s Small Business Technical Assistance Grant Program, are intended to help organizations provide support such as individualized business management assistance, financial training, access to capital, and loan packaging services to under-resourced small businesses in urban and rural communities, according to a Monday press release from the corporation.

"Small businesses power our economy and are the heart of our main streets and downtowns. MGCC's Small Business Technical Assistance Grant Program represents a key way the Commonwealth can provide our small businesses with access to the expertise and capital they need to thrive,” Mike Kennealy, Massachusetts housing and economic development secretary, said in the press release.

  • Worcester Regional Food Hub, jointly with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, $175,000
