Spectrum launching 24/7 Worcester cable news

Spectrum Networks has launched 24/7 news, weather and sports coverage for its customers in Central and Western Massachusetts.

The Spectrum News 1 broadcast promises news from reporters in Worcester, Chicopee and Pittsfield.

Starting at 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, viewers can tune in to the “Your Morning News” show with Anchor Ana Bottary followed by the “Your Afternoon News” show at noon and the “Your Evening News” show at 6 p.m. with Anchor Olivia Lemmon.

On weekends starting at 6 a.m., Anchors Chandler Walsh and Cam Jandrow lead coverage of the day’s news and events. Walsh and Jandrow cover Worcester, while others report on Chicopee and Pittsfield.

In addition, Spectrum News 1 will continue to air shows such as the public affairs program “Central Mass Chronicles” and “Chamber Exchange,” presented by the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce. The half-hour show highlights the region’s businesses and emerging sectors of the local economy. The network will also continue to provide coverage of high school and college sports on the network, including the “Football Frenzy Show.”

Spectrum Networks is owned and operated by Charter Communications Inc. and is the second largest cable operator in the U.S. after Comcast Corp.
