Sudbury supplement firm expands to Canada
Sudbury health supplement manufacturer Pure Encapsulations on Wednesday announced it is expanding its genetics-based nutrition PureGenomics platform to Canada.
The platform was developed in 2015 and has enabled U.S. practitioners to improve patient outcomes by better understanding an individual’s genetics, the company said in a press release.
The PureGenomics platform provides physicians with the ability to make nutrition and supplement decisions based on gene variations.
The platform tests for nutritionally relevant genetic variations and using a website, patients and their physicians order a kit that provides full-service DNA sequencing and downloadable results.
Results are then translated into specific recommendations based on several key genetic factors.
