SynQor Gets Another Patent, Expands Lawsuit

SynQor, the Boxborough-based electrical component manufacturer, has received a patent for its bus architecture and converters, which it has added to a patent suit against two competitors.

SynQor received the federal patent and promptly asked a court in the Eastern District of Texas to add the patent to a suit the company has brought against Vicor Corp. and Cisco for allegedly infringing on that technology. The court allowed SynQor’s newest patent to be added to the suit.

Last month, SynQor was awarded $1.45 million in relation to a patent dispute, and last year, the company got $112 million through a patent suit. Those cases were brought against 11 separate businesses that SynQor alleges all infringed on the company’s patented electrical components.
