Westminster-based custom metal fabrication company TechPrecision Inc. has received a $1.2 million order to produce parts that will be used to make solar wafers.
The company said production will include 100 units being shipped in 2012 and another 200 in 2013. The customer, which the company did not name, has the potential to become the largest single source of revenue for TechPrecision in the future.
The company’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, Ranor Inc. and Wuxi Critical Mechanical Components Co., which is based in China, will be handling the orders.
