The Hanover Insurance Group has named long-time employee Toni Mitchell as its president of technology and life sciences.
In this role, Mitchell will lead efforts to expand market presence, achieve strategic growth, and deliver personalized solutions to meet the needs of technology and life sciences clients, according to a Thursday press release issued by the Worcester-based public company.
Mitchell will replace Mina Rona, who assumed the technology and life sciences president role in January 2024. Rona left Hanover in July, according to her LinkedIn profile.
"Toni's appointment marks an exciting new chapter for our technology and life sciences business," Matthew Mitchell, president, middle market at The Hanover, said in the press release. "This business plays a critical role in our long-term strategy, and Toni brings the vision, experience, and leadership required to help us scale with purpose. Her passion for developing people and building strong partnerships with agents and brokers will be instrumental as we continue to evolve."
Mitchell joined the company in 2010 as regional chief underwriting officer for the middle market. Since 2022, she has served as the regional executive for the company's Pacific Region.
Mitchell is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and formerly worked at Minnesota-headquartered OneBeacon Insurance as regional underwriting director.
