More Information

WBJ asked 400+ of the most powerful people in Central Massachusetts who they believe are the most influential professional in the region. On top of the list of the top 15 votegetters, we asked those powerful people to write stories about one person they voted for.

Christine Cassidy makes a daily mark on Worcester and the larger community as Fallon Health’s chief communications officer. A major local employer, Fallon’s marketing, advertising, public relations, strategic communications, and philanthropic giving are under Christine’s watchful eye and steady guidance. Her work has earned both industry and community accolades along the way, including an Emmy.

She has stepped up time and again as a community volunteer to lead. In 2015 and 2016, Christine was the chair of the Worcester Women’s Leadership Conference, an annual sold-out event bringing women professionals at all stages of their careers together for a day of learning. Later she served as chair of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, the premier membership organization for businesses in our region and the catalyst for much of what we see going on around us during Worcester’s renaissance.

The epitome of Christine’s influence has been her work as chair of the Becker College board. Christine led the board through the difficult decision to cease operations and this year announced a legacy multimillion-dollar gifts to the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and Worcester State University. Progress like this doesn’t happen every day, and it never happens unless someone is willing to put in the time, effort, and dedication.
