The keys to local business growth
What's the most important thing local government can do to help catalyze more business? We laid out five options in last week's Flash Poll, which yielded clear differences of opinion. While economist Barry Bluestone, a Northeastern University professor, says marketing and timely approvals by municipalities are more important than taxes in growing business, taxes came out on top as most important in the poll, just ahead of coordinating efforts to push regional development.
