Waltham-based Thermo Fischer Scientific, which has operations in Milford and Franklin, has opened a demonstration laboratory and training center in Seoul, South Korea, the company announced.
The analytical and laboratory equipment maker said the 1,800-square-foot facility will demonstrate its instrumentation and products and will also strengthen its foothold in an emerging market.
“As we’ve done in other emerging markets, such as India and China, we believe it’s critical to showcase our depth of capabilities to our local customers,” CEO Marc Casper said in a statement.
Thermo Fisher said it has nearly 100 employees at its two facilities in Seoul.
