California server virtualization company VMware Inc., a majority-owned subsidiary of Hopkinton’s EMC Corp., has released a beta version of its VMware Stage Manager product, designed to manage complete multi-tier applications.
Beta versions of software are typically released at low or no cost for testing by the public before full production releases.
The new software will work with VMware’s Infrastructure product to enable IT administrators to move beyond rote operations and focus on “ROI-generating projects.”
The beta is available for download from the company’s web site.
