Worcester County Food Bank to partake in $1M BJ's Feeding America donation

Westborough retailer BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. donated $1 million nationally to Feeding America to help provide food to families in need, according to a company announcement on Wednesday.
This donation will support 50 member food banks across the eastern U.S., including the Worcester County Food Bank.
Food insecurity has impacted approximately 42 million people, including 13 million children. These numbers have risen due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Feeding America.
In addition to the monetary donation, BJ's has donated 120 million pounds of food including meat, produce, dairy, and bakery items to Feeding American member food banks.
Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.
