Armsby Abbey, the Worcester restaurant and bar known in particular for its hard-to-find beer selection, will reopen Wednesday after a long closure.

Armsby initially closed to indoor dining in March 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic hit, and remained open for take-out orders through June. It was going to initially reopen last September but, with limited indoor and outdoor space for diners, remained closed until now.

"We have been feverishly readying Armsby and our team for your arrival for weeks now," the Main Street restaurant said in a Facebook post Tuesday.

Armsby said it will reopen with a limited capacity of 10 tables and 12 bar seats. Reservations are capped at six guests per table, tables can be occupied for only up to 90 minutes and masks will be mandatory.
