WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE NOTABLE VETERAN EXECUTIVES AWARD?

The individual must work in Central Massachusetts, a region of towns surrounding Worcester, extending east to include Natick, north to the New Hampshire border, south to the Connecticut border, and west to include Warren. The individual must reside in Massachusetts or a community near the state.

Nominees must be a U.S. veteran, according to the Veterans Administration: a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.

Nominees must serve in a senior-level role at their companies (three levels or less from the company CEO). The company may be a for-profit or nonprofit, but with annual revenue of at least $1 million. They also:

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in their field and demonstrate accomplishment and the ability to power to effect change.

  • Have made significant contributions to advancing the issues impacting veterans within the workplace and/or within the Central Massachusetts region.

  • Have served as a role model or mentor for veterans.

  • Are active participants in other civic/community service organizations or initiatives.
