Maynard-based Kaon Interactive, a provider of 3-D interactive product marketing applications, announced a deal with a Warwick, R.I., medical equipment manufacturer.
According to Kaon, Sizewise has implemented Kaon's virtual 3-D product models to communicate new product developments to its global sales team, customers and prospects which include more than 200 people.
Mary Nell Westbrook, chief marketing officer at Sizewise, said the 3-D product models were ideal for her company to effectively communicate the benefits of its “new-age hospital bed” to the health care community and its sales team because of the photo-realistic and interactive virtual demonstrations the product allows via phones, tablets and the Web.
“When we may not be able to have an actual demo bed in a hospital, the customer is able to experience the bed online with the Kaon model and get a far more in-depth feel for the product than they ever would from a brochure," she said.
