Fitchburg-based Workers’ Credit Union has hired AMANDA C. VALCOURT as marketing coordinator. She graduated from Fitchburg State University with a bachelor’s communications media. Valcourt, a resident of Fitchburg, previously worked as a graphics assistant and photographer at Sterilite Corp. in Townsend.

Worcester-based Home Staff has hired THERESA ECKSTROM as operations manager. Her career began at Home Staff in 1980 as a coordinator. Her most recent position was at Elder Care Services of Worcester, where she worked for 28 years. Ecksrom, a licensed social worker, graduated from Framingham State University and earned a graduate degree from Worcester State University.

Worcester State University has hired SUZANNE POWERS as director of the Center for Business and Industry. She previously worked at New England College of Business in Boston and Embanet-Compass. A resident of Shrewsbury, she has an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley.

The Boston Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute has named KATIE KEITA, senior manager of global investor relations of Hopkinton-based EMC Corp., to its board of directors. Prior to joining EMC, she worked in small business development and microfinance in Senegal. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and an MBA from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

UMass Memorial Health Care Cancer Center of Excellence at HealthAlliance Hospital has named MADHAVI TOKE as medical director of the Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center in Fitchburg. She has been a member of the HealthAlliance Hospital medical staff and a medical oncology physician at the cancer center since 2006. Toke received her medical degree from the Russian State Medical University in Moscow.

Hudson-based AIS has hired GREGG STEVENSON as territory manager for the Western US markets. He previously worked for office furniture firm HON Co. He has a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He also served in the U.S. Air Force and was promoted to captain before completing active duty.

MICHAEL R. CHRISTY, HECTOR E. PINEIRO and CHARLES E. VANDER LINDEN have been appointed by Massachusetts Bar Association as leaders of three MBA sections. Christy is chair of the probate law section. Pineiro is vice chair of the civil litigation section. Vander Linden is chair of the access to justice section. Christy is an associate at Mirick, O’Connell, DeMallie and Lougee LLP in Worcester. Pineiro operates the Worcester-based Law Office of Hector E. Pineiro and Vander Linden is a principal at Starr Vander Linden LLP in Fitchburg.

Vanguard Health Systems — the parent organization of Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester and MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham and Natick — has named ROBERT BROOKS chief business development officer. Brooks was previously co-founder and CEO of ElderCareLink. He has a bachelor’s degree in administrative science from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley.

Aisling Partners Insurance Brokerage LLC of Worcester has hired BROOKE MELIA as an account executive. Melia was previously employed by Beacon Benefits Group. She has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Clark University in Worcester.

The Alliance for Resource Management of Fitchburg has named JENNIFER LABAIRE of the Law Office of Jennifer LaBaire as chair of its board of directors. LaBaire, who is based in Leominster, has served on the board for six years. She has a bachelor’s degree from Providence College and a law degree from Suffolk University in Boston.

Davis Advertising of Worcester has hired DANIEL R. KENNEY as account executive; MELISSA A. BEGLEY as associate creative director; and DANIELLE E. MCGRATH as account coordinator. Kenney was previously manager of marketing services at TJX Inc. Begley previously served as art director for the Bennett Group. McGrath earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic earlier this year.

The Boston-based Yankee Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators has named SARAH CRUISE to its board of directors. Cruise, the board’s president-elect, is a senior internal communications specialist at Framingham-based Bose Corp. She has a bachelor’s degree and MBA from Clark University in Worcester.

Southborough software firm ikaSystems has promoted its president, JOSEPH MARABITO, to company CEO. Current CEO and company founder RAVI IKA becomes executive chairman of the board of ikaSystems. ERAN BROSHY, chairman of the board and a senior advisor at Providence Equity Partners, will remain a member of the board.

Framingham-based office supply company Staples Inc. has promoted CHRISTINE KOMOLA to chief financial officer effective February 1, 2012. She joined Staples in 1997 and was most recently the company’s senior vice president and corporate controller.

Southbridge Savings Bank has named ROBERT A. MANGAN cash management manager. He previously worked for Danversbank (formerly Beverly National Bank), Middlesex Savings Bank and Partners Healthcare System Inc. Mangan lives in Wellesley.

Westborough-based public relations agency Rainier Communications has named SUZANNE MORAN and MARY CADWALLADER account directors. Moran, of Belmont, was previously founder and principal of PinPoint Communications and worked at Lois Paul & Partners. Cadwallader has been a senior account manager at Rainier for more than 10 years. She lives in Princeton.

SHAWN M. MOELLER has been promoted to commercial team leader in commercial real estate for New England by TD Bank. She joined the Worcester-based bank in 2000. Moeller is a graduate of Becker College in Worcester.

JOYCE L. ROWELL has been named executive director of Rainbow Child Development Center of Worcester. She joins Rainbow from the Worcester Community Action Council where she worked for 13 years. Rowell, a Leicester resident, earned her bachelor’s and master’s in early child education from Worcester State University.

JEFF DIMATTEO, an owner and partner of Marlborough-based American Profit Recovery, has been named to the ACA International Education Foundation Board. He is a resident of Franklin.

BRAD JOHNSON has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Saint-Gobain Abrasives North America, which has operations in Worcester. Johnson joined Saint-Gobain in 1994. A resident of Hopkinton, he has a bachelor’s in finance and an MBA from Bentley University in Waltham.
