Leominster Firm Picks New CEO

Medical silicone products manufacturer Albright Technologies of Leominster has promoted its vice president of business development to president and CEO, the company announced.

Bob Waitt, who has been with Albright for 12 years, the last five as vice president of business development, will replace founder David Comeau, who stepped down in January but will continue as part owner while working on a start-up project, the company said.

Albright, which has 17 employees, was founded in 1995 and focused on medical plastic prototyping. Ten years later, the company transitioned from plastic to silicone as medical research looked for products more suitable to be implanted into the human body.
