Figs & Pigs eatery grand opening this week

The DCU Center’s new eatery will hold its grand opening Wednesday night and open to the public beginning Thursday morning.
The restaurant is being run by Candace M. Murphy of Worcester after she was selected from among a field of applicants to run the “incubator” project in the 1,200 square foot eatery space located in.... The restaurant contest was designed to help launch the career of a budding food professional, while bringing an eatery to a busy location and adding a new note of vibrancy to downtown, according to DCU Center officials.
Attached to the DCU Center at the corner of Foster and Commercial Street, the space is the final piece of the 2013 capital renovations
The Wednesday night grand opening is by invitation only, but the restaurant will be open to the public beginning at 10 a.m. and open until 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
