Mount Wachusett partners with Northeastern University

Mount Wachusett Community College President Daniel Asquino said that a partnership with Northeastern University will open doors for our students, while demonstrating our shared commitment to making quality education accessible and affordable.

Mount Wachusett Community College has partnered with Northeastern University to allow MWCC graduates to seamlessly transfer into Northeastern's College of Professional Studies to pursue a bachelor's degree.

The agreement allows for the "seamless" transfer of credits from MWCC into the professional studies program that offers bachelor's degree completion programs in fields including information technology, health management, biotechnology and management.

Northeastern University College of Professional Studies is one of nine colleges that form the university. Details of the transfer program are being worked out for fall 2016 enrollment, according to a release from MWCC. The school has transfer agreements with other four-year schools that include Amherst College, Assumption College and Clark University.

To be considered for this transfer, MWCC students must complete an associate degree with a "strong academic record," according to the school.
