Harrington opening Oxford UrgentCare Express Monday

Harrington HealthCare System will open the doors of its latest UrgentCare Express location to patients on Monday.

The location at 78 Sutton Ave. in Oxford is the second urgent care location for Harrington, which opened its Charlton location in September of 2015. The Oxford location includes 11 patient exam rooms, on-site X-ray and a lab draw station for blood work, according to the healthcare provider.

“We are continuing to respond to the growing demand in our area for urgent care centers,” Kristin Morales, vice president and COO of Harrington Physician Services, said in a statement. “Our Charlton practice has surpassed all projected volumes in the past year. By adding a second facility in Oxford, we are fulfilling a need in a community where there isn’t a lot of option for non-emergency care treatment.”

The Oxford urgent care is located across from the Oxford Retail Crossing Plaza, Market Basket and Home Depot, according to Harrington, and will have the same hours of operation as the Charlton site: weekdays 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dr. Robert McCarron, a board-certified physician with more than 30 years’ experience in emergency care settings, will be the lead physician on staff, according to Harrington.

Harrington HealthCare System includes Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, Harrington HealthCare at Webster and three major medical office buildings in Charlton and Spencer.
