FLEXcon promotes new VPs, director of manufacturing

FLEXcon, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive adhesive products, has expanded its leadership teams with three promotions at the executive level.

Tom Kubacki, a 28-year veteran of FLEXcon, was promoted to vice president of manufacturing. Kubacki most recently served as director of coating technology and production control, a job he started in 2005. He was behind bringing principles of lean manufacturing to FLEXcon, and helped integrate those principles into the coatings department.

As vice president of manufacturing, he will help facilitate communications across the company's North American manufacturing facilities and will focus on best practices.

Nathan Bailey, who joined FLEXcon in 2015 as chief of legal counsel, is now vice president of general counsel and corporate secretary. In his new role, he will lead legal initiatives and make sure FLEXcon is in compliance with laws and regulations.

During his time so far at FLEXcon, he has supported several of the company's subsidiaries, including Arlon Graphics, FLEXcon Industrial and Blueshift International.

FLEXcon also promoted Howard Letendre to director of manufacturing for FLEXcon Spencer. He has been with the company since 2005, when he joined as director of finishing technology. Since then, he has made processes safer and more efficient, and implemented new equipment to increase finishing capabilities.

In his new job, he will plan and direct all coating functions at the Spencer facilities and be in charge of all finishing production functions, including scheduling, shipping, and planning and coordinating the application of finishing technology.

"Collectively, [the executives] bring decades of manufacturing and customer service experience and embody qualities that directly reflect FLEXcon's customer-first mentality, and commitment to improving the overall manufacturing process while delivering high-quality products," Neil McDonough, FLEXcon's CEO, said in a statement.
