Pottery Barn, Homesense coming to Northborough Crossing

Pottery Barn has opened outlet store at Northborough Crossing on Thursday and will soon be joined by a new Homesense.

Pottery Barn opened in the former Toys "R" Us location, with a grand opening set for Thursday, the Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce announced. The 63,000-square-foot location will be the home decor and furniture chain's first location in Central Massachusetts and its first outlet store in Massachusetts, according to its website.

Homesense, another home merchandise chain and a new store from Framingham retail parent company TJX Cos., is slated to open in mid-September.

The Northborough Crossing store, in a former Golfsmith location, will be the fourth Massachusetts location for Homesense. The first in Massachusetts, in Framingham, opened a year ago as the first Homesense store once the new chain launched. TJX already has a T.J.Maxx at Northborough Crossing.

With Pottery Barn and Homesense arriving, the Wegmans- and Kohl's-anchored Northborough Crossing will be just about at capacity. A former Eastern Mountain Sports storefront remains vacant.
