Benchmark starts $58M Framingham, Marlborough senior living projects

Senior living developments are underway in Framingham and Marlborough from Waltham-based Benchmark Senior Living.

The first, a 104-bed facility at 421 Bolton St. in Marlborough, is slated to open in November. The $29-million project includes 57 living units on a site next to the entrance to Marlborough High School.

The Marlborough center, to be called The Branches of Marlboro, will have 57 living units and offer assisted living and memory care services.

The Framingham facility, also costing $29 million and consisting of 104 beds, is being built at 518 Pleasant St. It will be called The Branches of Framingham and is slated to open in January.

Both projects are being built by Dellbrook | JKS, a general contractor from Quincy, and were designed by Udelsman Associates of Hollis, N.H.

Benchmark Senior Living has 35 senior living developments in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. In Central Massachusetts, the locations include Benchmark Senior Living at Forge Hill in Franklin, Benchmark Senior Living at Shrewsbury Crossings, Benchmark Senior Living at Leominster Crossings, and Tatnuck Park at Worcester.

Benchmark bought the Marlborough site last fall for $1.5 million and the Framingham site last fall for $2.1 million.
