Accolades & Honors

John Lian of Baystate Financial in Worcester earned MetLife's Leaders Conference level of recognition, one of the company's highest levels of sales achievement.

Ike McBride, Mary Valentine Crowley Callahan, Rosemary Ford and Danielle Perron Sikonski won Worcester Rotary Club's Service Above Self Awards. McBride is director of operations at the Boys and Girls Club of Worcester. Callahan is a longtime city volunteer. Ford is a teacher at the Union Hill School in Worcester, and Sikonski is the director of family services at Why Me and Sherry's House in Worcester.

Clark University's Central Regional Small Business Development Center won the 2016 SBDC Service Center Excellence and Innovation Award for Massachusetts, given by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Framingham-based Staples presented Diversity Spotlight Student Awards to the following students: Emily Procopio (nominee), Keefe Regional Technical School; Andre Adkins (nominee), Framingham High School; Anthony Gelormini (nominee), Tessa Beatrice (champion), Sofia Vale (champion), Abigail Keeney (champion), Brianna Medina (champion and overall Staples Diversity Spotlight Student Award winner), and Erin Dowdy (champion), all of Keefe Regional Technical School.

Vanessa Epro of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Leominster won the company's International Sterling Society Award, awarded to the top 17 percent of sales associates worldwide. Epro is a resident of Leominster

Students and advisors of Marlborough's Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School participated in the National Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference in Boston. All nine students earned medals.

Framingham-based Integrated Insurance Solutions LLC won a Satellite Agency Network Top Commitment Achiever Award for the highest volume of new business in its network.

Alex Zequeira, president of Nativity School of Worcester, won the Greater Worcester Community Foundation's Renaissance Award, to show appreciation for those who serve in nonprofit roles.
