Marcy L. Reed, president of National Grid Massachusetts, was honored at a reception by Bottom Line of Worcester, for her service to the community. The nonprofit helps first-generation and low-income students pursue a higher education. The reception featured Honorary Chair Karyn E. Polito, lieutenant governor of Massachusetts. Pictured, left to right, are: Reed and Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty.

Dick Fiske Sr. and his Heart to Heart Foundation of North Brookfield was honored by the Children's Smile Coalition at Hanover Theatre in Worcester last month. The group helps with family costs associated with children battling major diseases. Young Hero Award recipients included Allianna Agbanyo, Carly Dillis, Madeline Dolan, Zack Gosselin, Thien Hoang, Sean O'Brien, Dacia Sharp and Michael Wackell. Honorable mentions went to Kenneth Openshaw, Mark Kent and Nicholas Kent.

Pauline Smith of Marlborough was given the Marlborough Heritage Heroine Award for her volunteer efforts stretching back to the 1970s. She has worked with many mayoral campaigns, with the cultural affairs office, as a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and many other efforts.

ClearCom IT Solutions of Leicester celebrates its 10th year in business, reporting a 100-percent service contract renewal rate.

Paul L. Jeffrey, a pharmacy director in UMass Medical School's Commonwealth Medicine division, is the 2015 recipient of the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association Bowl of Hygeia Award. He is clinical associate professor of UMass Medical School's Family Medicine and Community Health.

SpencerBANK was presented with a Gold Award in the brand category at the Financial Marketing Awards, centered on banks, credit unions and mortgage companies throughout New England. The bank was recognized for a commercial-lending TV spot, created by Davis Advertising of Worcester.

Tata & Howard Inc. of Marlborough received the 2015 Sponsor of the Year Award from the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA), based in Holliston, for its support of the association.
