Accolades & Honors: Aug. 19

Melissa Darigan of law firm Partridge Snow & Hahn, which has an office in Westborough, was named one of the Top 250 Women in Litigation by Legal Media Group. Darigan is chair of the firm's litigation practice. This is the second year in a row she has received the nationwide recognition.

Thermoforming supply company Mayfield Plastics has been awarded ISO 9001 registration at its Sutton manufacturing facility. The quality management system is developed by the International Organization of Standardization.

Natick Visiting Nurse Association was awarded two grants for its MetroWest Meds program. The Rotary Club of Framingham awarded a $1,000 grant, and the Natick Rotary Club awarded $750. The program helps eligible uninsured and underinsured individuals access prescriptions.

Kevin Chenevert of Active Logistics of Northborough was selected as a Van Operator of the Month by Mayflower Transit, a national moving company. Chenevert was selected in the Special Transportation Services category.

James V. Córdova, associate professor of psychology and director of clinical training and The Marriage Checkup Project at Clark University of Worcester, has been awarded a $56,156 grant from the U.S. Department of Defense. The funding — from the Defense Health Program — will support his marital health program's use in military bases.

Worcester-based nonprofit Training Resources of America Inc. received $1.07 million from the U.S. Department of Labor to continue YouthBuild Programs at its Worcester and Quincy sites over the next three years. YouthBuild provides training to low-income, out-of-school youth. Students receive instruction in GED preparation and other areas while helping provide or rehabilitate low-income housing.

Framingham resident Steve Burton — sports director, anchor and reporter for WBZ-TV and TV 38 in Boston — won the Outstanding Community Service Award from Bethany Health Care Center. The Framingham-based short- and long-term healthcare facility gave the award at its annual golf tournament.

Milford National Bank and Trust Co. received an “Outstanding” rating from the Massachusetts State Division of Banks for its Community Reinvestment Act compliance. The act is a federal law designed to encourage commercial banks to help meet the needs of borrowers in all segments of their communities, including low-and moderate-income neighborhoods.
