Worcester Ameriprise financial advisor Karen Maloney-Hagel ranked in the top 25 percent of participating advisors who scored 96 percent or higher based on overall client satisfaction. Survey areas included whether the advisor provides clients access to other specialists when appropriate and contacts them regarding significant market changes.

Worcester-based Clark University's MBA program is ranked 17th in the world in the Corporate Knights Global Green MBA Survey. The survey provides an annual list that examines how universities fare at integrating sustainability into the academic experience.

Cindy Aiken of Worcester was honored by Easter Seals for her 25 years with the organization. She is vice president of programs and services and also provides leadership to rehabilitation services and employment training services at Easter Seals.

Power Component Sales Inc. (PowerComp), with offices in Sturbridge, won an award for its contributions to the success of manufacturing Nevada-based Ametherm's power thermistors. PowerComp is the exclusive manufacturer's representative for Ametherm's full line of inrush current limiters in the region.

Pearl's Premium of Wayland, which manufactures drought-tolerant grass seed, won the Boston Museum of Science's “Invented Here” innovation award. The award helps recognize breakthrough inventions.

Kathy Bergeron of Leominster, a volunteer with Beacon of Hope Community Services, has been selected by Hannaford Supermarkets as a “Hannaford Health Hero” for her dedication to encouraging healthy eating habits for adults with developmental disabilities.

Rainier Communications of Westborough won the Technology PR Agency of the Year bronze award from Bulldog Reporter, a public relations trade organization, for the second time in three years. Campaigns were judged by journalists, who assessed agencies on the basis of their ability to achieve extraordinary visibility and influence opinion, as well as on their industry leadership, creativity, command of media and technology and tenacity.
