Tighe & Bond, with offices in Worcester, was given the James D.P. Farrell Brownfields Project of the Year award from the Environmental Business Council of New England for its role in developing the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center. The state-of-the-art data center sits on a former industrial site in Holyoke.

The Overlook Life Care Community of Charlton was awarded a Public Water System Award from the state. It was the only award granted in the “small community” category this year.

Mortgage Brain, a Worcester mortgage technology firm, won a Best Mortgage Sourcing System Award from the Financial Reporter, an online news service in the U.K.

The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center received the Outstanding Community Partner Award from the University of Massachusetts Medical School's Graduate School of Nursing Program for its work in hiring and educating nursing students from the program.

Kate Shaw, Northborough branch manager of Central One Federal Credit Union, was named a Melvin Jones Fellow by Lions Clubs International Foundation for her humanitarian work.

Optim LLC of Sturbridge, which manufactures flexible contraband fiberscopes for security inspections, was named a Platinum Winner of a Security Products Govie Award at the GovSec Security Conference in Washington, D.C., for its FreedomView LED fiberscope. The award honors top manufacturers of government security products
