AdCare hires nursing director

Kara J. Levinson is the new director of nursing for Worcester-based AdCare Hospital, the addiction treatment provider said in an Oct. 1 statement.
Levinson, a registered nurse, has worked at AdCare for 12 years, and previously worked as nursing supervisor. She said her major goals in her new position include implementing a mentoring program for new nurses and adding new training programs for nursing staff to enhance consistency in patient care delivery.
AdCare operates nine locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. It is scheduled to be sold to Tennessee-based American Addiction Centers for $85 million in the first half of 2018.
