FlexCon Teams With Colorado Co.

Spencer-based film and adhesives manufacturer FlexCon has teamed with a biotechnology surface company to create a first-of-its-kind surface that is resistant to bacterial growth.

FlexCon worked with Sharklet Technologies of Aurora, Colo., to create the product, which could have applications ranging from use in hospitals to biotechnology laboratories to childcare facilities, among others.

The technology is inspired by shark skin, which is resistant to microbial growth. Sharklet developed the technology and FlexCon will produce it.
