CATHERINE CORIDAN has been appointed executive director of Girls Inc. of Worcester. She most recently served as executive director of Mount Saint John in Deep River, Conn., a residential treatment program for adolescent males.

Dr. HOWARD FIXLER has joined the Worcester office of Trustmark Insurance Disability and Long Term Care Benefits division as medical director and second vice president. For the past eight years, Fixler served as the chief of medicine at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital

Milford–based Consigli Construction Co. Inc. has hired MARGARET NEIL as director of its newly-created project services group. She comes to Consigli from Shawmut Design & Construction, where she spent the past 11 years as vice president of client development.

Marlborough-based 3Com Corp. has hired SAAR GILLAI as the senior vice president of Worldwide Products and Solutions. Gillai brings more than 20 years of networking experience to 3Com, including management positions with companies such as Cisco Systems Inc., Newbridge Networks and Tropos Networks.

New England Peptide LLC in Gardner has named ROBERT HAMMER as director of chemical development. Hammer comes to NEP from Louisiana State University where he was the William A. Pryor professor of chemistry since 2006. Prior to 2006, he held assistant professor, associate professor, and professor positions in chemistry at the university.

MARGARET HURLEY has been appointed as co-chair of the Massa-chusetts Bar Association’s public law section for the 2008-09 year. She is chief of the Attorney General’s Central Massachusetts Regional Office and director of the Attorney General’s Municipal Law Unit in Worcester. The Massachusetts Bar Association has also appointed the following members to serve as leaders for the association’s 17 sections and young lawyers division during the 2008-09 year: JAMES VAN BUREN, attorney at law, Fitchburg; GEORGE THOMPSON JR., Westborough; JAMES DONNELLY JR., Mirick, O’Connell, Worcester; MICHAEL DONNELLY, Anna Maria College, Paxton; JOHN DUGAN, Doherty, Ciechanowski, Dugan & Cannon PC, Franklin; and MARY FEENEY, Bowditch & Dewey, Framingham.

R. DAVID RICHER has been named CEO of Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital. Prior to his appointment, he served for 10 years as the CEO of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Ludlow

The Worcester Sharks have hired MELISSA GARDNER as the director of corporate sales. She joins the Sharks staff after one year in the athletic department at UMASS-Lowell. She previously worked in the American Hockey League as a vice president for the Quad City Flames and in management for the Springfield Falcons in the marketing department.

The Keating Group in Southborough has hired TODD POLLOCK as president of tKg Comp, their newly formed workers’ compensation division. He began his career in 1995 with EBI Cos. as a sales underwriter before being promoted to sales and underwriting division manager. In 2001, he moved to a workers’ compensation sales executive with PMC.

Medway-based Service Bancorp Inc. has appointed EDWARD HJERPE III as the interim CEO of Strata Bank, Service Bancorp Inc. and Service Bancorp MHC.

Westborough-based Hospitality Mutual Insurance Co. has named SANDRA HALEY vice president of underwriting and marketing. Haley, who has 29 years of experience in the insurance industry, previously served as commercial lines underwriting manager for Harleysville Insurance Co. in Worcester. Hospital-ity Mutual also named JOHN TYMPANICK president and CEO. He previously served as CFO of the Liquor Liability Joint Underwriting Association of Massachusetts.

Wayland-based Paresky Flitt and Co. LLP has hired DANA ARTHUR and JENNIFER BROCK as accountants. Arthur brings nine years of medium and national public accounting experience to his new position at Paresky Flitt. Brock previously worked at the firm Patterson & Gerry.

Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts appointed ANGELIKA MELIEN as its new director of fund development. She has more than 12 years of experience in the development arena as director of marketing, pubic relations and development for Pioneer Valley Girl Scout Council, assistant vice president for Institutional Advancement at Western New England College, and Director of Leadership Giving at Bay Path College.
