Movers & Shakers from the August 3, 2009 Issue

Fallon Community Health Plan in Worcester appointed LYNN M. PATTERSON of Rutland to director of government services clinical programs. Patterson graduated from Salem State College and previously held the position of senior manager of outpatient care services at FCHP. In her new position, she will direct and manage state regulated products, and oversee all clinical programs and operations within the FCHP service area.

JULIE EISELE was hired as staff development nurse at Great Brook Valley Health Center in Worcester. In this position Eisele will be responsible for hiring, training and supervising members of the health center’s nursing team.

SCOTT R. REISINGER, headmaster of the Bancroft School in Worcester, has been elected to a three-year term as president of the board of directors of the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE). AISNE represents 180 independent elementary and secondary schools in New England. Reisinger has served on the board since 2004, most recently as vice president.

Avidia Bank of Hudson recently announced several promotions and appointments: LEE THOMPSON has been promoted to vice president, workout and credit administration; JOCELYN MCNEALY has been named an assistant vice president, and heads up the bank’s internal audit department; CORI WIERSMA, director of training, has been promoted to assistant vice president; DAVID MORTICELLI, assistant vice president, has been promoted to market manager in the Marlborough office; PATTI WOOD has been promoted to deposit operations officer; NATALIE SOUSA, a loan originator, was named a bank officer; WANDA NOTON was promoted to senior deposit operations representative; and SHARON QUINN, newly joined Avidia Bank as vice president, cash management services.

ALEXANDRA BAVOSI, was named director of sales for Enterprise Cleaning Corp. of Worcester. She is a resident of Rutland and previously worked in outside sales and marketing for Sterling National Country Club.

Attorney EUGENE P. O’DONNELL was elected to serve as president-elect of the Worcester County Bar Association at its annual meeting. O’Donnell, currently a partner in the law firm of Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple in Worcester, will take over as president of the 1,200-member association in September 2010. Prior to O’Donnell’s installment, BLAISE P. BERTHIAUME will serve as president beginning on Sept. 1. Berthiamume has a general law office in North Brookfield.

ANTHONY J. VIGLIOTTI  was elected to serve as secretary/treasurer of the organization. Elected to the association’s executive committee were: MICHAEL D. BADGER; PAUL M. CRANSTON; MICHAEL Y. EDMONDS; MARK A. GOLDSTEIN; JULIE S. MORRILL; ANNE L. O’CONNOR and GEOFFREY E. SPOFFORD.

STEPHEN SYCKS of Worcester has been named vice president and small business lending officer of Webster Five Cents Savings Bank in Webster. In this position he will originate and underwrite small business loans. Previously, Sycks worked for Fidelity Bank as vice president and commercial lender.

LYNN CONGDON was appointed a sales counselor at The Willows of Worcester, a retirement community owned by Salmon Health and Retirement. She was previously a sales manager at Jon LeClaire Builders in Grafton.

The Devereux Center of Massachusetts in Rutland welcomed six new board members: JOHN HARRITY, owner of Harrity Appliance Service and a commercial real estate broker with Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates in Worcester; TAMMY HESSBERGER, vice president of marketing and distribution at The Hanover Insurance Group; CYNTHIA JOHNSON, television and film producer; SHARRI MERZ, retired pediatric nurse; MICHAEL MUDD, senior vice president of the Worcester Sharks; DAVID O’DONNELL, president of The Patriot Financial Group and MERIDITH VIANO, child welfare advocate.

RACHEL STEWART, assistant vice president of marketing at Framingham Co-operative Bank, has been elected president of the board of directors for the New England Financial Marketing Association. Her term is from 2009-2010. She is also the administrative director of the bank’s charitable foundation.

Clinton Savings Banks announced two recent hires: JOHN G. RYAN, assistant vice president of mortgage origination, and JILL WOLFENDALE, branch manager in Sterling.

Paul Revere Toastmasters Club in Worcester recently elected the following officers for the fiscal year of 2009: CATHERINE FOSTER, president; ROGER TAHAN, sergeant of arms; JOELLYN SCHWERDIN, vice president of membership; MARIE OSLEBO, vice president of education; MARY ELLEN LEPORE, vice president of public relations and DEB LARSEN, treasurer.
