Communication Solutions Partners of Southwick and Milford has hired MIKE LATA as an account executive and promoted MELISSA DEROUIN to manage its back-office operations. CSP is the communications division of business automation company Whalley Computer Associates. Lata has more than 25 years of experience in the communications industry, most recently as an account executive at telecommunications firm Paetec. Derouin has worked for Whalley for 15 years.

KEN DEC was named senior vice president of new business development of Mercury Media Holdings in Marlborough. He is a 25-year marketing veteran who has done work for companies like Pfizer, IBM and Bose. In his new job, he’s responsible for helping big brands improve their media strategies.

North Brookfield Savings Bank has hired PATRICIA MAYO-SHERMAN as its new CFO. Mayo-Sherman moves to the bank from Mansfield Bank, where she spent the last 27 years. Most recently, she served as senior vice president and treasurer there. She is a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Association School for Financial Studies and lives in North Attleboro with her husband Bob and their three children.

Bellingham environmental contractor TMC Services Inc. has hired BRANDON FAGAN as director of technical services. Fagan previously worked at Haley & Aldrich Inc. of Boston as vice president of industrial engineering. He has 23 years of experience in geo/environmental services.

Clinton Savings Bank has promoted KATIE FLAHERTY to assistant vice president of consumer lending. Flaherty previously served as assistant vice president of residential lending. In her new position, she will help create a distinct consumer lending department for the bank and develop consumer loan programs.

The Princeton Review Inc., based in Framingham, has appointed LINDA WHITLOCK, the former CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, to its board of directors. Whitlock replaces Clyde Williams, who is now political director of the Democratic National Committee. Richard Sarnoff also resigned the board, after serving there since 1998, to concentrate on other commitments. With those changes, the Review reduced its board’s size to seven members.

Worcester construction firm Cutler Associates has hired SAM AMATO JR. as director of pre-construction for corporate and industrial. In his new role, Amato will help the company estimate the cost of projects in the corporate/industrial marketplace. Amato has more than 20 years of experience.

PAM GENELLI has been appointed vice president for human resources at Great Brook Valley Health Center in Worcester. Previously she worked in human resources at Eastern Casualty Co. and Allmerica Financial.

Goodfellas Construction in Worcester has hired RICHARD TEDESCO as vice president of operations. Tedesco has more than 18 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, with expertise in design, building materials and product management. The company said Tedesco will help it grow and diversify into commercial projects and will develop high-end residential and commercial projects.

Attorney JOAN D. BERON has joined the special needs planning practice group at Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple PC. She will work at the firm’s Framingham office, concentrating on special education law, elder law and special needs planning. Previously, Beron was a hearing officer at the Bureau of Special Education Appeals in Malden.

RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp. of Worcester bas appointed RICHARD CHIN, CEO of the nonprofit pharmaceutical company Institute for OneWorld Health, to its board of directors. Chin, a physician, has worked in a variety of drug development companies. Before moving to OneWorld health, he was president and CEO of OXiGENE, which develops vascular drugs for oncology and ophthalmology, and he has also held management positions at Elan Corp., Genentech Inc. and Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals.

Rocheleau Tool & Die Co. Inc. of Fitchburg has hired HARRY TARZIAN as part of its field service and engineering staff. Tarzian has 25 years of experience with blow molding, filling and capping. He will provide customers that use the company’s extrusion blow molding systems with machinery field service, in-plant process evaluations and material/bottle handling solutions.

Worcester’s O’Brien & Gibbons Insurance Agency has hired ADAM R. SJOGREN as a financial services representative. Sjogren previously worked for MetLife. In his new position, he will be responsible for life and financial products.

The Worcester-based Protector Group Insurance Agency Inc. has promoted THOMAS P. CONNORS of Acton to senior vice president of the employee benefits division. Connors has worked for the firm since 1991 and helped grow its employee benefits practice to more than 300 clients.
