HEARTFELT EFFORTS Employees of Shrewsbury-based Central One Federal Credit Union donated $15 each to the American Heart Association and participated in the association's Wear Red Day campaign on Feb. 6.

Sutton-based Mayfield Plastics hosted Sutton middle schoolers who participated in AMP it up!, a video challenge involving research into advanced manufacturing.

Office supply giant Staples, based in Framingham, donated $7,500 to Seven Hills Foundation of Worcester to help its employment program for those with disabilities.

Hudson-based Avidia Bank donated $1,500 to The Darnell School of Hudson.

Framingham-based MutualOne Bank donated $5,000 to Family Promise MetroWest as sponsor of the 6th annual Walk Away Homelessness Walkathon next month.
